Gohar Abrahamyan is a franchise attorney based in Newport Beach, CA. She is formerly a public defender, having practiced criminal defense in Portland, Oregon. She brings to Luther Lanard substantial experience trying difficult cases, having tried over a dozen jury cases solo. She enjoys the highs and lows of trial and is eager to apply her experience to helping franchisees in disputes against franchisors.
Gohar also has experience representing clients in personal injury matters, having negotiated with insurers all across the country and settled matters for her clients in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Her work across these disparate areas of practice have provided her with a unique perspective on what matters to clients, how to best explain complex legal concepts, and to formulate communication methods that work with each individual person. Her goal is always to help clients feel heard, informed, and collaborate through their legal issues.
Gohar earned her law degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a California educated attorney through and through, and has spent time in both undergrad and law school studying California public policy as it pertains to consumer protection.
Outside of work, Gohar enjoys being active, spending time with her family and friends, cooking new recipes, reading, and tending to her plants.
