PRESS RELEASE-Nancy Lanard to Receive PA Bar Association Award
Plymouth Meeting, PA (February, 2020) Montgomery County Pennsylvania Attorney Nancy Lanard to receive the 2020 H. Robert Fieback Award at the PBA Commission on Women in the Profession Conference in Philadelphia in May.
The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Commission on Women in the Profession will present its annual H. Robert Fieback Award to Montgomery County attorney Nancy Lanard, Senior Partner of Lanard and Associates, P.C., in Philadelphia at an awards luncheon held on May 7, 2020 at the 201 Hotel, 201 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
The Commission on Women in the Profession’s Award for the Promotion of Women in the Law was established in 2017 to honor Pennsylvania law firms (including solo practitioners), corporate law departments or other organizations providing legal services, either public or private that instituted programs or initiatives that have resulted in helping women lawyers continue and advance in their professional careers while maintaining a work/life balance. In 2019 the award was renamed the H. Robert Fiebach Award for the Promotion of Women in the Law to honor PBA past president H. Robert Fiebach who identified among his top presidential priorities the incorporation of more women into the legal profession, the PBA and PBA leadership roles.
Lanard and Associates, an all female law firm, focuses on representing individuals nationwide who are considering investing in a franchise opportunity by evaluating the franchise agreement, establishing the entity for their business, negotiating the lease if needed, acquiring or selling a franchised business and related business matters.
Nancy Lanard dedicates time to improving the legal profession, especially for women lawyers, by providing a flexible work environment to allow her attorneys to work the hours they choose and from their home offices. In addition to mentoring the attorneys who work at Lanard and Associates, Lanard is a founding member of Women Owned Law, a ground-breaking organization created to connect and advance women legal entrepreneurs. Lanard sits on the Board of Directors and the Governance Committee and chairs the Virtual Programming Committee of Women Owned Law. Through that organization and others, Lanard has helped many of her colleagues with the business aspects of running a law firm.
Lanard is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association Business and Franchise Law Committees. Additionally, Lanard is a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA), the International Franchise Professionals Group (IFPG) and Women Owned Law.
Lanard received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania (Magna Cum Laude), her Masters of Science (with honors) from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law (top 10% of her class).
